I've been wanting to share a lot that's happened over the last 5 or so weeks with you guys, but it seemed so overwhelming because I didn't know exactly where/how to start. Yesterday I read a musician's blog and what she does is summarizes her work by the month. So a few days into a month, she'll write about the preceding month. I dig that, so I shall henceforth be stealing this idea from Hannah:)

I won't bore you with ALL of the details of how I got to this point, but basically, I spent months and months in my early-mid 20s booking and tour managing some of my indie friends' tours. This was thousands of miles traveled, several hotels and friends' couches crashed, and lots and lots of gas station food partaken...ofeth. All of this was of course after spending weeks booking the actual shows one by one, and talking to people with names like 'Snake' and 'Timber' asking if my friend(s) could play at their venue. For every show I booked, I got at least 10 'no's. I also heard hundreds of 'no's when I was publishing my music magazine INTERLUDE.

So things haven't always been easy and I've spent plenty of time sleeping on the floor, the couch, and every once in a while, in beds. All the while though, I've been networking and making friends in various production roles, at various levels of success. The tenacity paid off when just a couple of days before New Year's, I was asked to help out with the production of a show out of town.

The artist was CeeLo Green, and the show was the headlining Allstate BCS Fanfest event in New Orleans. So on New Year's Eve, I watched my new boss sing during the NYE countdown in Times Square, and a few hours later, I was hard at work helping to advance his next show.

It was in New Orleans that I met CeeLo, the Goodie Mob, and CeeLo's incredible band for the first time. They're all amazingly talented and some of the nicest people I've ever met. The city was SO full of energy during these few days in particular because of the big game, and aside from being physically exhausted from all the work we did, I was on cloud 9 the entire time. I also got to meet this cool performer named DJ Ruckus. You guys should check him out. He is a REALLY sweet guy, and kinda blew my mind with how talented he is.

I flew back to my new home in Houston for a few days to work on the next shows...and then it was back in the air. I can already tell that this year I will probably spend more time in the security line at airports than in my own bedroom. But do you see me complaining? Nope! And if you ever do, please feel free to slap me about my person.

January was capped off the same way it started: EPIC...ly. Or whatever.

I was flown to Miami and Montego Bay, Jamaica for 2 big shows. Miami's show was at the Fontainebleau hotel in their venue LIV and Jamaica's was the Jazz and Blues Festival where CeeLo was Saturday night's headliner. Friday night's headliner was Celine Dion! I definitely got spoiled with our accommodations that week and I'm not sure I'll know how to do anything without wearing a plush robe and having room service every 3 hours now that I've tasted the good life. I was also in the same room with Bobby Brown for a couple of hours while a Jamaican lady sang a 45 minute Whitney Houston medley to about 25k people...needless to say it was all sorts of awkward, but thats another story for another time. Anyhoo...I love robes!

It's pretty awesome to get to see everyone at the top of their game. Everyone in this team comes in ready to work hard, do their thing, and then celebrate just as passionately. I dig the pace of it all. And I think I'm going to like it here. I feel like Annie just moved into Mr. Warbucks' place and having a look around.

While I was at the hotel in Jamaica, I saw these two chicks playing pool. My dar went into overdrive. I said to myself, I says 'Self...I spy homosexuals.' And Self agreed with me. But we were in Jamaica which isn't very lezzy friendly, AND I didn't wanna just walk up to them and say "LESBIANS!...welcome." No, this wasn't Weho, after all. So I did what any self-respecting gay blogger would have done: I walked up to them and I said 'If I said 'Shane is my homegirl,' would it mean anything to you?" They paused...stared at me for a while--enough time for me to be frightened even though they were a good 6 inches shorter than me and I could TOTALLY outrun them--and then one of them said, "HELL YEAH IT WOULD!" and we all hugged. It was awesome!! I recommend it as an icebreaker at your local deli or Jamaican hotel situation.

Oh and did I mention everyone is British?? Well, not everyone. But like...more than half of the people I deal with are incredibly English and it rocks my world.

Not sure what's on the horizon for February and the rest of 2012, but I do know it will be filled with experiences I've never had before, new friends, hard work, hard play, and more robes than you can shake a robe at!

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you know that I've been extremely moved by the video and the documentary that will soon follow. I've watched 3 or 4 times now in the last 72 hours, and I cry every time. It's SO moving and SO powerful...like nothing we've ever seen. It looks like Ryan James Yezak--the video's director--is well on his way to making the documentary of his/our dreams since his kickstarter project has taken off in a way that's normally reserved for ipod products on the site. I pledged the moment I found the page, and at last count, nearly 3,000 others had as well.

Since posting the video, a LOT of you have asked me if I could produce the 'I am not a second class citizen' shirts that Ryan has created. I thought this was a great idea as well, and made a lot of sense for me to be part of for many reasons, so I contacted Ryan. Ryan loves the idea too! He has given me full permission to produce the shirts and make them available to you. This way, we can start getting the message out while his kickstarter project is still in full swing, hopefully bringing more attention to it, and the message. The profits from the shirts will go back to Ryan's kickstarter project, as well as The Trevor Project and other LGBT organizations. I'll post the numbers once we start getting orders so you can see exactly where your money is going:)

Happy New Year's and Marry New Queers

My peops! I have had a little tradition of writing to you on New Year's Eve for the last few years and I wanted to keep it going today. As I write this, I'm in my new home in Houston after having lived in Los Angeles for the last 4 years and San Diego 3 years before that. It's also the first day of my new exciting gig--one that I hope will be the first of MANY like this--and a few hours away from being able to hang out with my mom again like I've been able to do the last few weeks.

2011 started off SO poorly for me, and then got worse...and worse still. There were definitely some lovely little highlights and I won't complain since I'm still here to talk about it! But what I'm trying to say is that...it got better! :)

This, after all, is the year of IT GETS BETTER. We've heard it all year. I've said it to myself and to you guys all year. And now, today, I can say that its happening right before my eyes. I know that a lot of you reading this right now are not feeling well, or are down about something, or may even be downright depressed. I've heard from you all year...and I know there are several others I haven't heard from but are feeling this way.

I want you to know that I am here, all of my readers are here, and we're not going anywhere. I need you to stay with us. We lost too many beautiful people to suicide this year (and years past). It's an epidemic. And if I can help stop it from happening (oh man...this is going to sound trite, but I mean it with all of my heart!) to just ONE PERSON, then that would be the proudest moment of my life. It doesn't matter if I ever find out about it or not...if somehow something I can say to you or do or not say or not do will help just one person not go down that path this year, then that makes me the happiest/luckiest girl on earth.

And for those of you who are NOT struggling that deeply...who are having a great time in life and who plan to make 2012 YOUR year, I can not WAIT to see it all unfold! Please keep me updated and let me know how awesome things are going for you. Even if you and I have never met before, you mean more to me than I could possibly explain in 365 posts...and I wish wonderful things for you.

I'm not big on New Year's resolutions, but I will say I have a new life's resolution to touch and positively affect as many lives as I can. It may just be by making someone smile with a video of a couple of outta control rouge boobs, or as life-altering as helping you find the love of your life, or some bit of advice or helping you connect with the person who can help you with something...or ya know, just that boob thing. But whatever it is, I hope to leave the world a better place than I found it, one day at a time, one person at a time. And...since it looks like I could probably break into 'We Are the World' at ANY moment now, I'm just gonna throw it over to my tried and true:

I also wanted to take a moment to speak to anyone who is struggling with their identity. Not going to make this long, cause life is short. ...and that's my point: life is short. We're only here for a short time, and you've got to LIVE. I think my new wife Jessie J says it best:

Oh to be a Stunt Double for Carl Jung...

I posted this trailer back in June when I first heard about it. Now that the premiere is right around the corner, I don't think I can quite express how THERE I am. I'm gonna dress up in a cape, an eye patch and some fangs, and go line up about 5 days before the first showing at my local. Twilighters, Potterers and Caribbeaners won't have NOTHIN' on me. You hear?

I think the most remarkable thing about my passion towards this movie is that Keira Knightley isn't even speaking in her lovely posh British accent. If you know me, you know this is a stunning blow to all things natural and right. However, she had me at: 'I want you to punish me.' Ready, set, POPCORN!

Also, if you're looking for a Keira fix before the big day, do yourself a favor and watch 'Never Let Me Go.' Its a super strange film that won't be for everyone, but I absolutely love it. I dig the fact that she doesn't choose cookie-cutter films or play the same character over and over again. She's truly talented, and just happens to be hot...instead of the other way around, like lots of today's starlets. Myself included;)

The film is also complimented by a great cast, including Emma Stone's bo-fren Andrew Garfield, MY bo-fren Carey Mulligan, and an appearance by the Fingersmith herself, Sally Hawkings.

Had the pleasure of working with Kate a couple of years ago and she's truly one of the nicest, most down to earth girls I've ever met. Also, STUNNING in person. Ridiculously actually. OK, so by the title I used, today no one can accuse me of being a feminist. Nope, today I'm just your average Joe-Ann who thinks Adele is gorgeous and wants to get all up in it. Her talent kinda knocks the wind outta me on a daily basis, and yes, I also enjoy listening to her speak on occasion. And by "occasion," I obviously mean ANY TIME I POSSIBLY CAN.

Thanks to reader Bree for sending me this 3-song mini concert that was apparently filmed in my basement.

That little face she pulls when she's hitting certain words/notes, is what we supermodels-slash-world famous singers call 'puttin' the STANK on it.' Its what Patti Labelle would call singing your FACE off.

I enjoy how cold she seems to be in this...and how utterly British she is dressed to combat the freezing tempuratures. I do believe Adele's existence is the direct result of one of my Weird Science-esque woman generating sessions. I thought they were all for naught. But its women like Adele, Aisha Tyler, and Carey Mulligan who provide evidence to the contrary. See, All of My Teachers From 3rd Grade to 12th?? All of that staring out the window during class DID pay off. You are welcome, World.

Am I the only one who always notices a little sadness when Adele speaks or sings? On Saturday I went to a Lesbian wedding. And it was awesome. And they had Ping Pong. And their marriage is thanks to Arlan.

Arlan and I go way back. I've been reading her stuff since almost the beginning, when I found her on Myspace (Anyone else miss Myspace like I do??) sometime during the fall of 2006. I had just come out and Your Daily Lesbian Moment Blog fulfilled my need to know everything I could about my newly discovered self.

(*Side Note* In October 2007 I met Arlan in a bar in WeHo and to this day I'm still disappointed she didn't hit on me. What, I'm not good enough for you, Mrs. McPhee?)

In July 2007 I posted something, somewhere on Myspace that I would be moving from BibleThump, Texas to San Francisco, California. Arlan came across that post and messaged me:

We got to talking and I stated that the only Lesbian I knew was my ex, and that I didn't know a single soul in California. She suggested I remedy that by posting a blurb on her Myspace so I could meet people in California.

And Girl, did I!

Via that posting I met Jescas, who introduced me to such things as Shiny Toy Guns, South of Nowhere and Cheesecake Factory. You've probably seen Jescas' guestblogs or seen/heard Arlan mention her.

And I met Al, who shares my profound devotion to Dana Fairbanks, is always up for any off the wall adventure I suggest, and is one of my greatest confidants.

And I also met KK, one of the funniest and smartest people I've ever known; who on my 6th day in California took me to San Francisco's iconic Castro Theater to see the one and only, Ms. Margaret Cho.

(I knew then and there that KK and I would be lifelong friends. )

That night I met KK's friends Chief, Govoni, Miz Liquid (our token straight girl) and her man Regis (our token straight guy).

This group soon became known as DTO (Dykes Taking Over) when we hosted a joint birthday party called Dykewood (Deadwood fans, anyone?) complete with a life-sized teepee, hot-tub brothel, and cage-dancing jailhouse.

Through Govoni we met Sus, who invited us to a holiday party where we met Cor, Dean and Shea. A few weeks later a bunch of us went to a party at Cor's, and Dean and Shea brought their friend Mitch.

A few weeks later KK invited me to a Pimps and Hoes party.

Here I met Betch, whom KK had also met through Arlan's blog.

Fast forward 2 years later: I attended another party at Betch's: 80's Gay Prom

(This is me & my date Shalisha, whom I also met through...you guessed it, Arlan's blog)

I brought along Mitch, where she really hit if off with Betch's roommate Cass.

Fast forward another 2 years (that's now, btw) and Mitch and Cass got married. Thanks Arlan & YDLM!

(Here is myself, KK, KK's wife Chrissy, Chief, Chief's fiance Graz, Miz Liquid, Betch, Mitch, Cass, Sus, Shea, and a few others, at the wedding)

I've also met a few other people you may know through Arlan's blog. Anyone recognize these folks?

Not since Dana and Alice, have I fallen so deeply in love with watching two women fall in love. (I liked Calzona until Arizona got jealous/wishy-washy and Callie slept with Mark, they had a baby, and it turned into an episode of Sister Wives)

They've really taken the time to build a solid foundation with Minx and treated their story just like any other straight couple falling in love.

5. Sarah and Christina's love and support for these characters, this story, and our community is huge.

8. People are coming back from the dead.

This seemingly has nothing to do with lesbians, or Minx....BUT, they're bringing back pretty much every character/actor that has ever been on the show. Sarah Michelle Gellar (for all of you Buffy loving Lezzies) will be appearing in the next couple of weeks.

All My Children will end it's 41 year daytime tv run next month and is slated to switch ownership and return in January as an online or cable series.

The words in the title of this post said aloud are what my dreams coming true sound like.

I watched this about 20 minutes ago and its taken me a few minutes to compose myself. I can't even count the many ways I love this film already. I've been yelling at you guys for YEARS (ok 2.) to follow Molly McAleer aka Molls on twitter cause she makes Twitter life worth living. She recently made the announcement that she's been hired to write for probably the most anticipated new comedy of the Fall season (besides "The New Girl," which she could write for too, IMO!) This is huge news. HUGE. Here's a clip of the show. Oh and uh, you will notice right away that it stars Ms. Kat Dennings. Molls writing a funny tv show that stars Kat Dennings. My hope chest* IS working!

The show looks REALLY cute and funny...and with THE best primetime comedy time slot in television (between Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother...whoa) I see it sticking around for quite a while. I know I'll be watching it every week religiously. I dig the premise and the edgy humor wrapped up in *pretty*. And it'll be REALLY cool to try and guess which lines/bits Molly came up with. Perhaps we can turn that into a national drinking game amongst us ladies? I'll of course do shots of Trader Joe's Green Essentials...or like, caramel. And you guys can hit the harder stuff.

I first discovered Molls (well, like Columbus "discovered" America) two years ago when I was fiddlin' around Youtube, as I do, and I came across this amazing moment in modern history:

Hey kids! As you know, I've been rocking out and sharing my love of my friends in the band KILLOLA for years (<--scroll down once you click that link). Besides being a LOT of fun and incredibly geniune/awesome people, I've also admired them because they've always been on the cutting edge of new and impressive ways to create, promote and deliver their music. From releasing FREE records (whoa) to being the first band to offer usb albums that update automatically with live shows, basically KILLOLA is the gift that keeps on giving.

So when I found out that they were starting their own record label, it made perfect sense. The only thing that makes MORE sense than that is the fact that lead singer Lisa (also the star of GIRLTRASH!) is preggers with bassist/band mastermind (and husband!) Johnny D's lil' babuh. The thought of their kid and Pink's new baby starting a band kinda makes my life right now.

Anyhoo, the first signed artist to KILLOLA's Our Records is a two-piece band called 'Maria Sweet'. Jess and Dani seem super adorable (and ya know, hella homosexual), and I can see their music on many an indie flick soundtrack in the near future. Ladies, take off your loafers, put the kids to bed (disclaimer: there is drug use in this vid. Much like that of my brother Rook's music video that I love SO much, but don't necessarily want to promote the drug message since I'm all sorts of weed/alcohol clean now:-) ) and ya know, get all lesbianic with me:

...and when I saw Robyn in concert Sunday night, she was sweatin' her ass off, so you KNOW she was even better. It was my 3rd time seeing her live, and she still didn't fail to impress. She seriously never stops moving during her hour and a half set. Its kind of amazing. What I want to know is: when does the aerobics video come out? Oh wait...I guess here it is:

You see there? You were dancing weren't you? And you wanted to cry a bit, too, didn't you? Yeah. That's what she does! Whether you're at some dark Scandanavian rave (aka ANY Robyn concert) or in your bedroom by yourself, Robyn makes you wanna dance while crying your eyes out and *spinnin around in circles*. She makes danceable breakup music. Genius.

Oh and its worth noting that according to my calculations, the show was comprised of 90% of the homosexual variety. So while P!nk is taking a break to raise what will undoubtedly be the coolest preschooler in North America, check out Robyn if you can. She's opening for Katy Perry on several shows in the US this summer, as well as headlining lots of shows in Europe. GET ON IT!

"Gay. Lesbian. Bisexual. Transgender. Queer. Genderqueer. The list goes on and on. Labels that people insist on putting on themselves and other people. It's a crying shame that these insignificant labels cost people their dignity, livelihood, and in far too many cases, lives, every day.

The love of my life is the most amazing human I've ever met. He is thoughtful, brilliant, hilarious, and tender. He also falls into the category of trans. I won't even elaborate exactly where, as I refuse to put him into a box. I love and respect that his gender identity is fluid as well as being one small detail about who he is. Having said that, being in a relationship with a trans-man brings with it automatic responses from society that I had not foreseen. I also am acutely aware of things that I don't know that I would ever have noticed.

There are so many things that come with being a queer woman, in love with a trans-man. Adjusted pronoun usage, being more aware of the way they are treated, and always, and I do mean always, being afraid that when they walk out the door they may not come home in one piece. Sounds dramatic, I know. For us, it's just life.
This fact came into a bright spotlight yesterday. A trans-woman was brutally assaulted in a McDonald's in Maryland. The actual attack is sadly not even the most noteworthy detail, the fact that the entire establishment watched, some laughing at her is. No one save for an older lady even bothered to make a serious effort to help her. I am absolutely devastated at this.

I am heart broken for the lady that suffered the attack (which resulted in a seizure), but I just kept watching, in tears, and thinking "this could so very easily have been my love".

Why do things like this have to happen? I believe it comes down to ignorance, fear of what is unknown, and hate. The sad issue at the core? Regardless of how much love is spread throughout the queer community, it will always be battling the hate until we are first class citizens. And even then I am not confident it will ever really go away.

The point of this particular rant is quite simple: Keep your mind open, and be aware that not everyone fits into neatly labeled categories. Some people have to face this world every day in a body that's just never been quite right. Isn't that enough of a challenge for them? Be a friend, a courteous stranger in a fast food place. Be humane."

Yep, I figured I'd have to duck all the bras and panties y'all would throw in my general direction if I mentioned them. After SON abruptly ended its run a while back--honest can't remember if it was 2 years ago or last Fursday, but I'm sure one of you lovely ladies will ~~correct~~ remind me--we were all left with a void in our hearts--nay, souls that up until now we thought would never be filled.

That is...until this week, when this situation (watch both parts!) showed up online:

So apparently the scoop is that the main cast and writers behind SON are pitching this idea as either a movie or a new series. I think either one would be awesome, but a series could really have an amazing run. Everyone's acting seems to have matured, and there have always been intriguing characters to work with. Plus, if they got on a network that would allow them to go beyond PG-13--as their audience is now well beyond that themselves--this could get really interesting.

Lesbian Bed Theft

Im not sure who these people are or why they seem like they've got the weight of the world on their shoulders, but I am sure of one thing: that blonde one is gonna help that brunette one take the clothes off of her shoulders to help lessen the burden.

From what I can gather, there's a "Bo," here and there's a "Lauren." Seems as if this is some sort of Canadian situation (see, I can read the HELL out of a youtube description), with solid acting and an interesting storyline. Oh and also, they totally DO IT in a sec here. So go 'head, pay no mind to the storyline, and get your "whats all this?" and "oh ok, nevermind, doesnt matter, they're DOIN' it" on.

Now towards the end there, when they're on that righteous bed, I was reminded of one of the love scenes in a little tear jerker called "Fingersmith." They too had a righteous bed upon which to she-produce. I have therefore decided that a ridiculously large, columned bed with some sort of ornate drapery will be my next large purchase. My last large purchase was a non-$5 footlong at Subway--yeah I splurged, but sometimes a lady has to take herself out on a date, ya know?.

I will place the bed in the middle of my living room, and I will give it a name that I'd give one of my yachts, like "The So Fly Zone" or "Florence Get-Some-Tail." ...and, as you might have suspected, it will be glorious.

This post is NOT about Megan Fox. Like, not even remotely. However, when I was looking for a photograph to represent the movie I'll be talking about in just a sec, this picture popped up. Hey homeslices! How have you been? Yeah I know I've been MIA in blogland lately, but if you've been following me on facebook or twitter, you know I haven't been keeping too quiet. I post more than your mom does. That's right, I counted.

It's New Year's Eve and one of my resolutions is to blog more consistently, and have a higher boob-per-screen-inch ratio than I have recently. Incidentally, that second part is a resolution I've adopted for my in-person-boob life as well. What I'm saying is: More boobs in my face and all about my person in 2011! Who's with me??

I wanted to give you guys a little present for being so righteously awesome day in and GAY out. Now those of you who've been reading along for a while know that I've posted this video a couple of times. I mean, who wouldn't? It starts with Zoe Saldana going down on Mila Kunis. Believe me, its taken some restraint not to make it my post every damn DAY. But I recently found this *director's cut* version of the clip (just an fyi: its from a movie called "After Sex" with several shorts..and this is the entirety of Mila/Zoe's story). The director rearranged some of the scenes to tell a different version of his story, AND he added a last scene which is now my absolute FAVORITE of the entire thing. You have to check it out.

I highly suggest you watch the entire thing, even if you've already seen the original before, because the story is a bit different now...its sweeter and helps lead up to my fav part which starts at around 8:30mins:

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you of two things: 1. Mila Kunis can currently be found doin' some very dark and naughty things with Natalie Portman in the stunning movie Black Swan, so high tail it over to a theater near you to get some of that good stuff. It's one of the best examples of *paying it forward* I have ever witnessed...and 2., not too long ago--like a month?--my friend Nikki took me to Robyn's show here in L.A...and we were sitting/standing behind the one and only Zoe Saldana herself.

Here's a list of what I learned/relearned about Ms. Saldana during those beautiful 2 hours. Its my guide for those of you who sit next to or behind her at the next show:

1. Zoe Saldana IS even hotter in person. Bring an extra sippy cup of cold water and face towel to every concert, in case you run into her. You will need it.

2. Zoe Saldana LOVES her some Robyn and is not afraid to show it. The hotness of this sight will overwhelm you. Keep a cool head though, she rolls about 12 deep.

3. Zoe Saldana WILL sing every single word to every single Robyn song at a live show. I'm pretty sure she'd sing Robyn's lyrics at a Nine Inch Nails concert...she LOVES her.

4. Zoe Saldana DOES want to marry her some Robyn about as hard as you want to marry you some Zoe Saldana. Be prepared to outshout her screams of "MARRY ME!!" to Robyn over the balcony, lest ye be outdone.

5. Zoe Saldana CAN & WILL drop it like its hot several times in a row, without spilling a single drop of her 5th beer. Do not be fooled by the demure, sophisticated shell. That chick bad. That chick hood.

I hope your NYE is/has been splendid, and that you get to do exactly what you want. Mine will be spent inside a movie theater, not drinkin sie booze, and hopefully being extremely peaceful, calm, and content. The calm before the storm of what will hopefully be an amazing/life-changing 2011.

Hi!

First of all, here's a little Happy Birthday to ALL of us:

Ahem, wow ok, so I was going to post a facebook status update about the love I'd already received from you guys by 10am...but I found that there was no real way to describe how I'm feeling right now or enough words to thank you!

First, let me tell you how surreal my night was last night. I had a very lowkey night with just a few friends to ease me into my 30s, before I see more of my friends today. Within the span of 4 hours, I had dinner next to Rumor Willis, met an actress from my fav show of 20 years, General Hospital (Natalie Livingston who played "Emily Quartermaine," in case you're wondering) and perhaps weirdest of all, I had a brief encounter with an extremely inebriated Anthony Clark who played "Greg" on CBS' Yes, Dear. while he was dressed as a 12 year old boy for Halloween. I know, right?? Weird. haha...I then had a half hour long conversation with an aspiring country singer who was dressed as a pimp, while his friend--who was dressed as a trojan and who had on no underwear--tried to hit on my friend.

The crazy thing is, on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the CRAZIEST night I've had in the last 5 years, this was probably a 3. That's because my life is been so intense and different and *huh* and *what* and *whoa* for the past few years.

So when I had my mini 30-second meltdown last night at the stroke of midnight when it hit me that I was turning 30 frickin years old and it feels like I was 22 a minute ago, I stopped myself. I'm SO grateful to be alive. I'm SO grateful to be healthy *knock on wood*...I'm SO grateful to have my family, and my close friends, and my larger circle of friends that now spans the globe.

Today I'm going to spend the day with some amazing friends just hanging out and enjoying their company. But I will be thinking of EVERY one of you guys while I do.

Oh and in case anyone has been wondering, my Halloween costume this year? I'm a drug mule. Think about it.

If you follow me on Twitter at all, you probably know 3 things about me:

Molls is this super hilarious chick who was BORN for Twitter. Her observations are quick, witty, and 140 character-appropriate. But just like Sarah Silverman, juuust about everything else Molls says on Twitter is NOT anything-appropriate. Therefore, hilarity naturally ensues.

I first discovered her (well, like Columbus "discovered" America) a year and a half to two years ago when I was fiddlin' around Youtube, as I do, and I came across this amazing piece of history:

So, a few readers have said they'd watch if I were on the newly announced Real L Word's 2nd season.

I'm definitely torn about this. On one hand, I am camera shy (the Cherry Bomb appearance was super comfortable, so it was easy to do even in front of 3 cameras), and I don't want to help perpetuate any sort of lesbian stereotype or set us back years. But on the other hand, instead of complaining about the current state of the show, I could put my face where my mouth is (eh...) and be the change I want to see;-) Ya know? I also think there's a bit of diversity that I'd bring: I'm black (surprise!), I'm a recovering alcoholic, looking to get in better shape, looking for love, turning 30 this month, wanting to help lesbians around the world, etc...plus I have some lovely (and um...interesting, haha) friends who would offset any boredom I created:-)

Last night, I thought my eyes were deceiving me. I was sitting alone (*sigh*) on my couch working on some number crunching and writing, when out of the corner of my eye, I spy two cheerleading outfits on top of each other. So I did what I normally do when I see that image out of the corner of my eye: I searched for my totem to see if I was dreaming or not.

Turns out my "totem" was in muh lady pants cause um:

Now you'll notice there was no lip to lip activity. It's sad that even a simple kiss between two women has to be so tightly choreographed for television or the show risks all sorts of problems with censors. BUT, I absolutely loved this short scene, because it incorporated 3 of my favorite things: sweet lady neck kisses, Heather's legs, and the mention of "Come to My Window" while kissing a cheerleader. EPIC WIN!

Let's hope there's more of this, in every single episode, fo lyfe!

Oh and I definitely want to give a shoutout to the other chick. She delivered some of my favorite lines of the night (breadsticks, anyone?) AND she made this scene extra hot, cause um, didn't it seem hella natural to her?? Yep...I spy...

I watched the clip below when it was on hulu a few months ago and kinda fell in love (check out those legs AND that sense of humor...yowsa!). Then a couple of weeks ago, the Britney/Brittany "Glee" episode was my favorite because Heather kicked so much ass. Then they hit me us baby with last night's little scene. What are they trying to do to me us??
